Rock Hill is a small city just over 1 square mile in St. Louis County with a population of 4,635 according to the 2010 census. The city was settled by James Collier Marshall around 1832 and in 1839 he built a two story home which he named "Fairfax". Rock Hill got its name from an old Presbyterian church established there in 1845. In 1941 Rock Hill became a 4 Class City.
