Located in the National Historic District overlooking the Missouri River is the renovated White House Hotel built in 1868. The hotel is a 3 story brick building with a 2 story wing containing 36 rooms. The hotel boasts coved ceilings, some 16 foot high, arched hallways, 12" thick brick walls, wrap around balconies overlooking 1st street, and rooms authentically furnished in the 1880’s period. The hotel’s original saloon, "The First and Last Stop" located at the front entrance, served all likes of spirits throughout the hotel’s history. The hotel has a full basement, including its own wine cellar, and "rare" indoor water well. It boasts an updated heating system, new roof and gutters. It is a tour site, dedicated to the historic preservation of this history-rich building located in Hermann, the most beautiful town in Missouri!!
