Living in Hermann, MO

Hermann's attractions include historic buildings, museums and wineries. The German School was built in 1871, and it is now a museum. Several houses in the city were built in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The Deutschheim State Historic Site has two houses from the 1800s. A drive along the Hermann Wine Trail will take visitors past several wineries that are open for tours and tasting. Annual events in Hermann include the Hermann Country Fair, a car show, Civil War Days and Oktoberfest. A German Christmas market and a Holiday House Tour are held at the end of the year

Hermann Missouri Schools

The schools in Hermann are part of the Gasconade County R-1 School District.  Hermann's five schools serve students from pre-K through high school.  Approximately three-fourths of the town's high school graduates attend college.  St. George School is a Catholic parochial school in Hermann for students who are in pre-K through eighth grade.
