When an opportunity arises to create a new home in a historical Clayton neighborhood, the challenge of crafting something that not only blends in but brings honor to the rich architecture found in Clayton became Period Restoration’s mission. Tudors are known for their handsome fireplaces, infusion of wood beams and siding, and distinct roof lines. This was included into the creation of this fine new home while maintaining the historical roots. Material choices that represent a bygone era that offer timeless beauty while giving one a lifetime of use. Slate roofing and copper guttering were chosen not only for their beauty but also their 100+yr durability. An exterior façade composed of fully painted white masonry, wavy cedar siding pay homage to the historical tudor residences. Clipped gables, dormers, complex roof lines, heavy brackets all play a part in the creation of The Tudor on Westmoreland.
